What are Anti Wrinkle Treatments?

Anti Wrinkle Treatments contain Botulinum Toxin as the active ingredient. The area to be treated is injected with the toxin which causes the muscle to relax, this in turn improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  Anti-wrinkle and fine line treatment can be used on the following areas, the forehead, frown lines, crows feet, bridge of the nose, jaw, chin, upper lip, gummy smiles, neck, décolleté and arm pits.

At your consultation we will discuss our treatments with you, to see what is the best option that suits you, other treatments may also be recommended.

What does it involve?

The consultation is the first step in your initial treatment. This will allow you to meet with your practitioner and discuss your goals and concerns.

After the consultation, your skin is sterilised and the botulinum toxins will be applied into your facial muscles using a fine sterile needle.

Depending on what area you are treating, injections may be required in various places. To help you find the most suitable place to inject, it will be necessary to move your facial muscles, which will be assessed on the day of your appointment.

After Anti-Wrinkle injections: What should you expect?

There will be no immediate changes. It takes a few days to take effect and the maximal benefit is approximately two weeks.

For 24-48 hours after the initial injections, it is advisable not to have your head looking down for prolonged periods, not to get hot and sweaty e.g., vigorous exercise, sunbeds, saunas, spicy food or have excessive volumes of alcohol or have any abrasive facial treatments until two weeks after your last anti-wrinkle injections. You can ask your practitioner for more information about the things you should do and not do.

The effects last for approximately three to four months, however, everyone is different, so results sometimes vary. Anti-Wrinkle injections should not be repeated for more than 3 months, except for the “top-up”, which is a two-week review post the initial appointment.

Anti-Wrinkle injections pose very little risk if they are prepared properly and administered correctly by a qualified practitioner.

Dermal Fillers: Cheeks, Nasal folds and Marionettes

Dermal Fillers For Sculpting
Dermal Fillers are one of our most popular treatments. They can be injected into the lips to make them plumper.  Fillers will typically last for 6 months plus
What Can Dermal Fillers Do To Improve My Appearance?
Volume loss is the cause of many signs of aging. The loss of facial tissue can cause lines around the face, folds and may even create a hollower appearance. This loss in facial volume is also caused by facial skin stretching, sun exposure, heredity issues and lifestyle are all factors that can affect facial skin. Fillers can be used to restore and rejuvenate the face by reducing these folds and lines.

What are injectable dermal fillers and how do they work?

Gel-like substances called dermal fillers can be injected under the skin to restore volume, soften wrinkles and smooth lines, as well as enhance facial contours. These fill in the lines and wrinkles and can also add volume to certain areas like your cheeks. This popular treatment for facial rejuvenation is a great way to look refreshed or more contoured and defined.Fillers are not permanent. The type of filler used and the location where it was injected will determine how long they last. The body will naturally process semi-permanent dermal fillers over time. Treatment will need to be repeated to get the desired results, which could be at least 6 months or more.
What happens when you use lip and face fillers?
The consultation is the first step in your initial treatment. This will allow you to meet with your practitioner and discuss your goals and concerns.Your consultation will include a thorough evaluation of your goals and concerns (if any) and a review of your medical history. Although dermal fillers pose minimal risks, it is important to disclose all medical information. Certain allergies, skin conditions, neurological conditions, and medications could jeopardize your safety and results.

What to Expect During Dermal Filler Treatment.

The area will be cleaned just before the actual treatment. An anaesthetic cream may be applied to your skin first to numb it. The injections are then applied to the affected area. After that, you will massage your skin. Lidocaine, a mild anaesthetic that is found in many filler products, can be used to reduce discomfort during and after treatment. However, you must tell the practitioner if you have an allergy to Lidocaine, as alternative products must be provided.  The provider will then place the correct amount of filler under the skin. You may notice some reddening of the affected area. In a few days, any swelling or bruising will subside. We will discuss basic aftercare, including not wearing any make-up right away and refraining from drinking coffee and alcohol and vigorous facial treatment and getting hot and sweaty.
    Dermal Fillers for Facial Rejuvenation
Fillers are the tissue-friendly injectable gels usually made of hyaluronic acid that is very effective in enhancing your lip volume and shape.Dermal fillers provide a long lasting but non-permanent natural enhancement that restores volume and fullness to your lips to give you a fuller look. We offer Dermal Fillers for the following areas:
    • Cheek enhancement
    • Chin
    • Nasal Folds
    • Lines around the mouth

    How do Fillers work?

Dermal fillers use naturally-derived materials such as hyaluronic acid and collagen which are both found your skin's connective tissue. Collagen was once the most used hyaluronic, but it’s now used less often as hyaluronic acid has longer lasting effects. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar that facilitates the skin’s hydration, metabolic processes, and skin cells repair. It binds water to give the skin more volume has immediate smoothing ability for your skin. The gel is injected just below the surface of the skin in just less than an hour. The aesthetic procedure requires very little downtime afterwards and the effects can be seen instantly.

One of the most common areas treated by dermal fillers are Lips

Fillers give fuller, plumper lips (about 1-2ml). The injections are highly recommended for those with lines around lip borders or any wrinkles around the mouth area. Dermal fillers are a great lip volumiser that plumps up lips and adds shape to thin or poorly shaped lips.

How long does the treatment last?

Dermal fillers last 6 months plus, and depending on the hyaluronic acid and how your body reacts to the procedure, as everyone is different.

Aqualyx : Treatments are 4 weeks apart

      Price list:

Small area £55 eg. Chin (3 treatments at least)

Medium £85 eg. bingo wings (6 treatments at least)

Large £115 eg. stomach or love handles (8 treatments at least)

      Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections

Aqualyx is a safe, effective fat dissolving injection treatment that reduces fat cells in the area that you would like treated. Results can be long-lasting, also in accordance with drinking plenty of water and exercise, meaning that your fatty sections can be reduced for prolonged periods of time.

Aqualyx can be used to treat small areas of fatty tissue that do not always go with exercise. These areas include fat around the chin, chest, abdomen, thighs, knees, and ankles. Basically it enhances shape, definition, and tone it’s not geared for weight loss.

      What is Aqualyx?

Aqualyx is made up of several different plant-based compounds that have been refined in a lab environment. Aqualyx dissolves fat cell membranes in the injected area. The fat cells then become unstable and break open. Once this occurs macrophages (immune system) and liver function eliminate these fatty acids.

      Is Aqualyx suitable for me?

If you have isolated pockets of fat that are difficult to reduce, then Aqualyx might be appropriate. Areas that are frequently treated are the chin, bingo wings, abdomen, and cankles.A consultation with Lewis (Practitioner and Prescriber) will determine the correct treatment option for you.If you have any of the following then Aqualyx is not suitable for you:•    Have kidney or liver disease.•    Have either type I or II Diabetes.•    Are taking blood pressure and blood-thinning e.g. aspirin or warfarin.•    Have active skin problems/irritation in the area to be treated.

      How quickly do results occur?

Depending on the size of the fatty area and deposits, determines the amount of treatment required. On average, 1-3 treatments for small areas are sufficient e.g. chin area and 3 or more treatments for larger areas such as the abdomen. We advise having treatment every 4-6 weeks. It takes time for the fatty deposits to be broken down and flushed out of the system, hence the time in between appointments.

      Are Aqualyx results permanent?

The fat cells will be reduced in the injected areas and therefore the results can last a long time if not perhaps permanently. However, maintaining this also depends on whether you lead a healthy lifestyle. Meaning that you have a well-balanced diet and take regular exercise, results will be better. Obviously, if you do not, then you will put weight back on.

What is involved in treatment recovery?

During treatment there is soreness and this can also be felt after coupled with some swelling in the area and occasionally some bruising. The swelling is caused by the Aqualyx causing an inflammatory response in the fat cells which can mean that swelling can last for a few days. It is advised that you chose a time that suits you best to allow for these potential reactions to settle down before you return to work or social events for example.

During treatment, we can offer you an ice pack to numb the area pre-treatment and it is advised that you may want to do this after, which is perfectly acceptable to ease soreness and swelling. We advise icing post-treatment for 2-4 times a day for 10-20 minutes at a time if you feel the need. You may also take Non-steroidal Anti-Inflammatory medication e.g. Ibuprofen (2 tablets three times a day after food) to help with the discomfort and swelling.During recovery we recommend that you avoid:•    Strenuous exercise for 10 days•    Having any further aesthetic treatments of any kind in the same area for two weeks.•    Saunas, spas, sunbeds and swimming pools for 3 days•    Extreme temperatures 3 days

How do I know Aqualyx is safe?

Aqualyx has the CE mark of approval for use in the UK which ultimately means it meets the health and safety requirements of the European Union and has a solid and consistent safety record supported by strong and reliable medical research. It is also used and recognised Worldwide.

Profhilo : (Face only) Max results are 2 treatments 4 weeks apart - maintenance once every 6 months

      Price list:

      1 treatment £250

      2 treatments £425

      What is Profhilo®?

Profhilo® is an aesthetic product that is BDDE-free, meaning that there is no cross-linking/volume-enhancing element to it and it helps to reduce skin laxity. It offers one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid (HA) on the market. Hydration and youthful skin are part of the quality of HA and with age, HA reduces making the skin sag and droop. So the Profhilo®, with its very high concentration of HA will increase hydration and improve the remodeling of skin tissue and give your skin the much need boost it may need and improve the aging appearance and sagging.

Profhilo® is not a dermal filler, so it does not plump or volumise your skin, it is a bio-remodeling agent, which is becoming increasingly more popular. Profhilo® consists of 2 types of HA and it is this combination that not only makes the product effective in remodeling your skin, which reduces laxity, but it also makes it a longer-lasting product.

      How is Profhilo® administered?

Profhilo® is injected into the face and there are five injections points on each side. It is recommended that each treatment be four weeks apart.Profhilo® reduces laxity and hydrates as previously mentioned. It is injected just under the surface of the skin, where it spreads rapidly. This quality is due to the lack of the cross-linking agent that you get in dermal fillers. The product then reacts with your skin to enhance hydration. Why we recommend four weeks between treatments, it takes time for the process to work. After initially spreading out in your skin and hydrating it, later in the process collagen and elastin production is boosted within the dermis layer of the skin. This helps to give the skin a more smooth, firmer look, hence making it more youthful.

If you are a person who also likes anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers, you can also add Profhilo® to your treatment program. It doesn’t stop you from having other treatments (discuss this with your practitioner) and be a part of you personalised treatment plan to improve your look and appearance or it can be simply used by itself, it depends on the individual and their needs.

      Is Profhilo® for me?

Profhilo® is used to create a firmer more youthful look and its due to the aging process that most clients tend to be 35 years and over.If you are not happy with your skin laxity, it’s sagging, wrinkles are forming and your skin is losing its tone and firmness as well as other signs of aging, then Profhilo® could be for you. However, before any treatment at Morgan’s Skin Clinic, it is advised to discuss your treatment options to see what best suits you, what’s appropriate and most relevant, assess medical health and history, discuss your expectations and possible results, before you commit to a treatment. We work with you and form an individual personalised treatment plan that best for you and your skin. What is Profhilo like to have done?As Profhilo® is injected into and just under the skin using fine and sterilised needles into the five pre-determined locations, it is relatively painless. There may be a pinprick sensation or short sharp scratch, but this sensation is momentary. Clients using numbing cream if they so wish 10-15 minutes before the injections are to be performed. Normally, however, it is not required. The injections are done fairly quickly and the whole treatment time is no more than 10 minutes.AftercareThere is no downtime with Profhilo®. However, like a lot of aesthetic treatments you are advised to avoid blood-thinning medication, avoid getting hot e.g. excessive sun, sunbeds, saunas, spas and strenuous exercise as well as drinking lots of alcohol for 24-48 hours afterwards. We also advise not to wear make-up for 24 hours also, so chose your time to have the treatment that suits your work and social schedule.

Are there any risks or side-effects?

There are no long-term side-effects with Profhilo® as it is metabolised by the body completely. The risk of an allergic reaction is also significantly reduced due to the lack of synthetic chemicals.Common side effects consist of redness, slight bruising, tenderness, and possible itching at the injection sites, but these will often tend to go within a short period of time. How long does Profhilo® last? Results from Profhilo® can last anything from 6 to 12 months, depending on the individual, their reaction, and the metabolism of the product. Everyone is different and responds in different ways, like any other facial treatments, so it’s difficult to be exact, but it will several months. Once you have completed your 2-3 treatments to get the desired effect, we recommend a 3-month “top-up” to keep maintain the look to have achieved. This will continue to keep your skin firm, hydrated, and in good condition

      Price list:

      area (6 ml) £380

      What Is Seventy Hyal?

Seventy Hyal 2000 is a bio-stimulating, injectable Hyaluronic Acid (HA) skin booster that aims to improve hydration levels within the skin. This skin booster also works to simultaneously stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin.

As we age, we lose approximately 1% of our Hyaluronic Acid (HA) stores per year after the age of 30. Thus, resulting in fine lines and loss of facial volume. Seventy Hyal 2000 treats the physiological depletion of Hyaluronic Acid within the skin via the infiltration of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) back into the skin’s dermis.

This skin booster acts as the perfect skin rejuvenation treatment to improve skin texture and skin laxity whilst adding gentle volume.

      How Does It Work?

Initially, two to three treatments of Seventy Hyal 2000 four weeks apart will be required to achieve the desired result. In some cases, and depending on initial skin quality, a fourth treatment may be necessary. Treatments will then need to be topped up every 6-12 months, determined by skin quality.

It can be used for facial enhancements to create a gorgeous, glowing appearance. Alternatively, this treatment can be used to rejuvenate and refresh the neck area, décolleté and hands.

How Long Does Seventy Hyal 2000 Last?

The longevity of results can vary between individuals however, results are expected to show almost immediately with full results showing two weeks post-treatment. If, however, you choose not to maintain the skin treatment with further top-up treatments – your skin will return to its pre-treatment state over time.

With this treatment, the downtime is minimal. As with any injectable treatments, a small amount of bruising may appear. However, this should subside within a few days with no long-term effects. Small, localised bumps may appear at the injection points. These will start to diffuse within 4-6 hours.

A full consultation will be carried out before your appointment.
